Eat with us

Voted runner up for "Best New Restaurant" in Avenue Magazine, the Common offers classic dishes with an uncommon twist. Chef Stuart Whyte has prepared our menu selections with love, using local ingredients whenever possible.


Drink with us

Cheers! The Common offers a vast selection of local and Canadian craft beer, wines, cocktails and spirits with flat rate pricing of $9 per selected drink. Optional custom cocktails and special order beer and wine also offered. Cash, tickets, toonie or open bar options available.


Party with us

No rentals needed here! The Common is equipped with a top of the line sound system, lighting, disco ball and microphones. DJs can be supplied for an additional fee.
The Common is an 18+, no minors allowed establishment.

Policies

  • An 20% service gratuity is placed on all bookings; minimum requirements do not include GST or gratuity.

  • The minimum spending requirement can be met by both food and drink purchases by both the host(s) and guests, If the group cannot meet the spending requirement, a room charge will be added to the bill for the difference.

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the minimum will be invoiced prior to any booking confirmation. Please email us for our cancelation policy.

  • It's recommended to book your venue 9-12 months in advance, especially for popular dates like weekends during peak wedding season.

  • Our rental fee typically covers the venue space, tables, chairs, linens, and basic decor. Specific inclusions may vary, so it's best to ask for a detailed list.

  • We don't have on-site accommodations, but we can provide a list of nearby hotels and accommodations for your guests.

  • We have a list of preferred vendors, including caterers, but you are welcome to bring your own vendors. They must meet our venue's requirements and coordinate with our event coordinator.

  • Yes, we have separate spaces for the ceremony and reception, which can be set up according to your preferences.

  • We offer in-house catering with customizable menus. Outside caterers are subject to approval based on our policies.

  • Yes, we have ample parking space for guests.

  • Access times vary, but typically you can access the venue several hours before your event for setup and preparations.

  • We have guidelines for decorations to ensure the safety of our venue. Please discuss your ideas with our event coordinator.

  • We have a liquor license and offer a selection of beverages. Outside alcohol may be subject to corkage fees and must comply with our policies.

  • Yes, our venue is wheelchair accessible.

  • We have contingency plans for outdoor ceremonies. Our venue coordinator will work with you to ensure a smooth transition.

  • We will provide you with a detailed contract outlining all fees and charges. Be sure to review this carefully.

  • Our venue can accommodate up to 120 guests comfortably. We can discuss the best layout options based on your guest count.

  • Absolutely! We encourage you to schedule a tour so you can see our venue in person and discuss your wedding vision with our team.
