Let’s celebrate.
The Common is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Grandin, steps from the Legislature and Edmonton's scenic river valley. Our space includes 2 venues; the Common (main floor) and the Common Ground (located below). Both offer seated and standing options for up to 130 people and are available for ceremonies and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners and bachelor/ bachelorette parties. Eat with us
Voted runner up for "Best New Restaurant" in Avenue Magazine, the Common offers classic dishes with an uncommon twist. Chef Stuart Whyte has prepared our menu selections with love, using local ingredients whenever possible.
Drink with us
Cheers! The Common offers a vast selection of local and Canadian craft beer, wines, cocktails and spirits with flat rate pricing of $10 per selected drink. Optional custom cocktails and special order beer and wine also offered. Cash, tickets, toonie or open bar options available.
Party with us
No rentals needed here! The Common is equipped with a top of the line sound system, lighting, disco ball and microphones. DJs can be supplied for an additional fee.
The Common is an 18+, no minors allowed establishment, however for private events minors are allowed until 11pm

The Common Full Space
Monday-Thursday- minimum spending requirement $4,000
Friday + Saturday available until 10pm- minimum spending required $5500 (option to continue the event in 9910 at 9pm for a full night minimum spending requirement of $10,450)
Sunday- minimum spending requirement $6600
Accommodates 130 seated or up to 150 seated/standing
Option to book the Common, South Room available Friday or Saturday until 10pm- Minimum spending required $2500
Accommodates 55 seated or up to 75 seated/standing
Common Ground (9910)
Tuesday anytime- minimum spending required $800
Wednesday anytime- minimum spending required $800
Thursday anytime- minimum spending required $800
Friday + Saturday until 10pm- minimum spending required $1500
Friday + Saturday all night- minimum spending required $4950
Policies
An 20% service gratuity is placed on all bookings; minimum requirements do not include CST or gratuity.
The minimum spending requirement can be met by both food and drink purchases by both the host(s) and guests, If the group cannot meet the spending requirement, a room charge will be added to the bill for the difference.
