Let’s celebrate.
The Common is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Grandin, steps from the Legislature and Edmonton's scenic river valley. Our space includes 2 venues; the Common (main floor) and the Common Ground (located below). Both offer seated and standing options for up to 130 people and are available for ceremonies and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners and bachelor/ bachelorette parties. Voted runner up for "Best New Restaurant" in Avenue Magazine, the Common offers classic dishes with an uncommon twist. Chef Lindsay Porter has prepared our menu selections with love, using local ingredients whenever possible.
Drink with us
Cheers! The Common offers a vast selection of local and Canadian craft beer, wines, cocktails and spirits with flat rate pricing of $8.75 per selected drink. Optional custom cocktails and special order beer and wine also offered. Cash, tickets, toonie or open bar options available.
Party with us
No rentals needed here! The Common is equipped with a top of the line sound system, lighting, disco ball and microphones. DJs can be supplied for an additional fee.
The Common is an 18+, no minors allowed establishment.

Pricing & Amenities
The Common
Available Sunday (long weekends included) to Thursday for a minimum spending requirement $4,000 Tuesday - Thursday and $5,000 Sunday. The Common can also be booked Saturday until 9:30 pm for dinner and drinks with reception to follow in the Common Ground venue for a $9500 minimum spending requirement.
Common Ground (9910)
Available Tuesday to Thursday for a minimum spending requirement of $800, Friday and Saturday for a minimum spending requirement of $4500 all night, or $1200 until 10pm and Sunday for minimum spending requirement of $3,000.
*Please note venue is not wheelchair accessible.
Policies
An 20% service gratuity is placed on all bookings; minimum requirements do not include CST or gratuity.
The minimum spending requirement can be met by both food and drink purchases by both the host(s) and guests, If the group cannot meet the spending requirement, a room charge will be added to the bill for the difference.
