Private Parties
Let’s celebrate.
The Common is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Grandin, steps from the Legislature and Edmonton's scenic river valley. Our space includes 2 venues; The Common (main floor) and the 9910 (located below). Both offer seated and standing options for up to 130 people and are available for ceremonies and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners and bachelor / bachelorette parties. Eat with us
Voted runner up for "Best New Restaurant" in Avenue Magazine, the Common offers classic dishes with an uncommon twist. Chef Stuart Whyte has prepared our menu selections with love, using local ingredients whenever possible.
Drink with us
Cheers! The Common offers a vast selection of local and Canadian craft beer, wines, cocktails and spirits with flat rate pricing of $9 per selected drink. Optional custom cocktails and special order beer and wine also offered. Cash, tickets, toonie or open bar options available.
Party with us
No rentals needed here! The Common is equipped with a top of the line sound system, lighting, disco ball and microphones. DJs can be supplied for an additional fee.
The Common is an 18+ no minors establishment, however exemptions are available for private events.

Policies
A 20% service gratuity is placed on all bookings; minimum requirements do not include GST or gratuity.
The minimum spending requirement can be met by both food and drink purchases by both the host(s) and guests, If the group cannot meet the spending requirement, a room charge will be added to the bill for the difference.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the minimum will be invoiced prior to any booking confirmation. Please email us for our cancelation policy.
A 3% invoicing fee applies to online payments, excluding deposits.

We cater to a wide range of private parties including birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, holiday parties, and more.

To book our venue for your private party, please contact our event coordinator either via phone or email. They will guide you through the booking process and availability.

We do not charge a rental fee, we have a food and beverage minimum spending requirement. If the minimum is not met, a fee is applied for the difference.

The Common allows all outside vendors except for food and drinks.

Yes, we have ample parking space for guests.
Street parking is available, and at a nearby Impark lot located at 109 St. and 100 Ave.

Yes, our catering partners offer customizable menus to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests. Please discuss your needs with our event coordinator.

We allow decorations to personalize your event space. Our event coordinator can provide guidance on what is permissible and any restrictions that may apply.

Yes, our venue is equipped to accommodate live entertainment or music. We can discuss your specific needs with our event coordinator.

We have a liquor license and offer a selection of beverages. Outside alcohol may be subject to corkage fees and must comply with our policies.

We provide a detailed contract outlining all fees and charges associated with hosting your private party. Please review this carefully with our event coordinator.

The Common is wheelchair accessible. 9910 is not wheelchair accessible.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own decorations including centerpieces and party favors to personalize your event space.
