Friday September 21st the latest Common Craft collaboration beer, the Ribstone Creek X Common Craft Red Umbrella Amber Ale, launches on tap along with a Ribstone Creek tap takeover. The tap takeover will run until September 26th and will feature their Raspberry Berliner Weisse and Roggenbier.

The Red Umbrella was brewed in late August 2018 by the crew at Ribstone Creek and Kelsey Brown, using Brown’s favourite recipe. Brown, an avid home brewer, works at The Common as an integral part of the beer program. Inspired by a picture (featured above) of a crowd waiting, despite the rain, to enter the Pride Edition of our Drag Queen Bingo fundraising event, Brown named this brew the Red Umbrella in celebration of the dedication to inclusivity that the picture evokes.

Beer: The Red Umbrella

ABV: 5.3%

Tasting Notes: An American Stye Red Ale that showcases flavour and aroma notes of grapefruit, citrus, and herbs classic of the Cascade hop featured in the beer. These flavours are complimented by notes of biscuit and whole grain cracker produced from the malt bill. The amber ale finishes off with a bitterness that leaves your palette clean and refreshed.
