Since emerging out of the American South in the 1930’s Chicken & waffles has been a definable slice of classic comfort food. Conceived in Harlem, New York at a restaurant called Wells, the dish was an answer to Jazz musicians  who wanted something to eat after late night gigs. Too early for breakfast and too late for dinner, the owner of Wells paired the two unlikely components to create a dish that is now enjoyed world wide. With the addition of bacon infused waffles (optional),  creamy goat cheese and a blackberry chile sauce, our Chef’s spin on this classic soul food inspired dish has elevated it to new heights.
